It’s that time of year again. You’ve packed up the Halloween costumes and decorations, and popped them back in the loft for next year. You’ve done Bonfire Night, although the sound of fireworks is still ringing in your ears! Now it’s all eyes on the 25th December as we race towards Christmas!
And it looks like everyone really is racing this year. I’ve had to bring this post forward, as so many of the Advent Calendars I wanted to feature have sold out already!
Who knew there was such a demand for these seasonal staples?
This year, I’ve picked a wide selection to suit all tastes. Whether you’re a vegan chocoholic, a tea connoisseur or a fan of beauty products, there’s an Advent Calendar for you.
But you’d better get your skates on, as these beauties are selling like hot cakes!
Find your perfect Advent Calendar this Christmas
For Gym Bunnies
When I was growing up, there wasn’t a huge choice when it came to Christmas Advent Calendars. It was a toss up between the traditional chocolate confectionary calendar or the glittery ‘picture window’ variety with robins, angels and Father Christmas.
Advent Calendars have certainly come a long way since then!
I love this Protein Ball Co. Calendar as it really is a healthy option, but you still have a lovely treat to look forward to every day.
Protein Balls are all-natural, so they’re perfect for the gym bunnies or fitness fans of the family. And being vegan, wheat, sugar and gluten-free, they are also ideal for anyone with allergies and dietary concerns.
At £19.99, it’s a bargain for anyone trying to stay healthy this Christmas. This is a limited edition so when stocks run out, it’s gone for good.
Make sure you grab one quickly here!
For Vegan Chocolate Fans
CocoaLibre Luxury Rice Milk Advent Calendar, £12
I love this take on the traditional chocolate Advent Calendar. Perfect for all the vegans out there, or anyone who prefers a healthier chocolate option.
It got my attention right away as a lot of vegan chocolate tends to be dark, but Cocoalibre’s is made with rice milk to give it a creamy, milky taste – genius!
Filled with festive chocolates in the shape of reindeer, Santas, stars and Christmas trees, it’s guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit!
As well as being vegan-friendly, it contains no nuts, peanuts, wheat or gluten, so it’s also suitable for coeliacs.
For Tea Lovers
This Calendar is a joy for any Pukka tea lover like myself. With 24 different types of organic herbal tea to try throughout the festive season, it’s a brilliant way to try out new tea flavours that you might not have sampled before.
The perfect healthy alternative to a traditional chocolate calendar, it’s the perfect partner to cosy up with on a cold winter’s day!

For Beauty Buffs
M&S Beauty Advent Calendar, £40 (when you purchase any 2 products priced £25)
Now when I say that this Advent Calendar is bursting with goodies, I am not exaggerating! This calendar has to be my ‘winner’ this year.
Unlike many beauty calendars, it doesn’t contain mini or travel-sizes but is packed with full-sized products!
Priced at £40 when you buy 2 products worth £25, it has to be the best value beauty calendar out there with over £300 worth of goodies inside. The first 2 products I picked out (yes, I did open my calendar early in the name of research!) had a value of over £40, so it was well worth shelling out for.
My favourite products so far are the Aveda Dry Remedy, a winter must-have for frazzled or frizzy hair. I’m also loving This Works Pillow Spray, Emma Hardie Detoxifying Clay Mask, perfect for keeping winter skin in check! Also this PRAI Ageless Throat & Décolletage Serum which I’ve had my eye on for some time, and it comes in a special Christmas edition sparkly box!
Then there’s Pur Skin Perfecting Highlighter, and one of my all-time favourite perfumes, Shay & Blue, Natural Fragrance spray.
This calendar really has it all, and if there’s is a product that’s not for you, you can always gift it to a friend or family member! Shhhhhh!
I’ve been so impressed with M&S beauty in the last few years. It has gone from strength to strength and they now stock stacks of boutique and high-end brands to rival places like Space NK and John Lewis.
M&S beauty products are also certified cruelty-free, as well as being BUAV and Leaping Bunny approved. And as a company, they are totally against animal testing. Bravo!
For the Luxury Lover
This calendar is perfect for the high-end woman who loves a bit of luxury! It has everything you would expect from Jo Malone, including soap, candles and colognes. 24 beautifully-crafted doors open to reveal miniatures of all the signature products, guaranteed to brighten up any woman’s day in December!
If you are a Jo Malone fan, you won’t be disappointed, and you and your home will smell amazing. Everything is deliciously scented, as you would expect, from the Sweet Almond & Macaroon Candle and Velvet Rose & Oud Shower Oil, to the Nectarine Blossom & Honey Cologne – definitely a winner.
The only thing I am disappointed by, is that the contents are not cruelty-free.
When Jo started her company many moons ago, and was making her fragrances in her own apartment in Chelsea, all her products were natural and cruelty-free. It’s such a shame that when a big corporate company takes over, some of the good stuff is left behind. Her new company Jo Loves is cruelty free.
For Zero-Waste Warriors
I’ve seen a lot of these fill-your-own advent calendars in Europe, so it’s great to see that they’ve crossed the Channel!
Sue Ryder’s elegant wooden Advent Calendar is a treat that can be used year after year. Beautifully designed, it adds an instant Christmas-y feel to any home!
Simply hand-pick or make 24 ‘presents’ of your choice, and fill the calendar with festive treats – a lovely personal touch to the countdown to Christmas. In the shape of a chalet-style house, the glittery, snowy scene is illuminated by the soft, battery-operated LED light-up roof. It really has a cosy winter glow!
Because this Advent Calendar can be re-used and enjoyed by the whole family time and time again, it’s the ideal zero-waste, eco-friendly option too! 100 % of the profits help provide palliative, neurological and bereavement support, so by buying this calendar, you are also doing your bit for charity this year!
You can purchase one here.
Are you getting organised for Christmas yet? I’ve got some great gift idea posts coming so stay tuned!
