Charlotte Tilbury Bejewelled Chest of Beauty Treasures
This luxurious re-usable Advent Calendar is a must-have for any make-up addict or beauty queen! Created by celebrity make-up artist, Charlotte Tilbury, who has primped and preened the faces of some of the most ‘super’ supermodels and A-list stars, this beautiful, bejewelled bronze ‘chest of drawers’ contains all of Charlotte Tilbury’s best-sellers, including her infamous Magic Cream, Supermodel Body, Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray, Pillow Talk Push-Up Mascara and Pillow Talk Lip Cheat. And once you’ve opened all the drawers, you can use the chest to store your make-up. There’s no make-up lover who wouldn’t be thrilled with this gift!
John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar
If you’re looking for a gift that will make any beauty lover swoon (or you want to buy yourself something to put under the tree), then this John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar is guaranteed to deliver. Showcasing many of the gorgeous beauty brands that John Lewis have in store and online, the calendar includes a luxurious selection of products by Sunday Riley, Liz Earle, Neom Organics, Bare Minerals, By Terry and Lumene.
What’s more, it has been designed to be re-used as a jewellery or trinket box and even has reversible drawers! At £150, it may seem pricey, but it contains over £375 worth of the most sought-after products from John Lewis, including 8 full-size products which is unusual to find in an advent calendar. You’ll have to be quick to grab one as they are selling like hotcakes already!
For Gym Bunnies
The Protein Ball Co. Advent Calendar
When I was growing up, there wasn’t a huge choice when it came to Christmas Advent Calendars. It was a toss-up between the traditional chocolate confectionary calendar or the glittery ‘picture window’ variety with robins, angels, and Father Christmas.
Advent Calendars have certainly come a long way since then! I love this Protein Ball Co. Calendar as it really is a healthy option, but you still have a lovely treat to look forward to every day.
Protein Balls are all-natural, so they’re perfect for the gym bunnies or fitness fans of the family. And being vegan, wheat, sugar, and gluten-free, they are also ideal for anyone with allergies and dietary concerns.
For Vegan Chocolate Fans
CocoaLibre Luxury Rice Milk Advent Calendar, £12
I love this take on the traditional chocolate Advent Calendar. Perfect for all the vegans out there, or anyone who prefers a healthier chocolate option. It got my attention right away as a lot of vegan chocolate tends to be dark, but Cocoalibre’s is made with rice milk to give it a creamy, milky taste – genius!
Filled with festive chocolates in the shape of reindeer, Santas, stars, and Christmas trees, it’s guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit! As well as being vegan-friendly, it contains no nuts, peanuts, wheat, or gluten, so it’s also suitable for coeliacs.
For Tea Lovers
This Calendar is a joy for any Pukka tea lover like myself. With 24 different types of organic herbal tea to try throughout the festive season, it’s a brilliant way to try out new tea flavours that you might not have sampled before.
The perfect healthy alternative to a traditional chocolate calendar, it’s the perfect partner to cosy up with on a cold winter’s day! Find out why I love a Pukka nighttime tea before bed here!
For the Luxury Lover
Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar 2020
[Currently sold out but new stocks are arriving soon!]
Liberty’s cult Beauty Advent Calendar has become the Christmas must-have that every beauty blogger is desperate to get their hands on! This year, it includes a bonanza of Liberty’s favourite boutique brands such as Diptyque, Le Labo, Herbivore Botanicals and Dr Sebagh to name just a few! This really is THE ultimate calendar! Although Liberty have increased their calendar production by 20% this year, they have already sold out! But you can sign up on their website and be first to know when a new batch arrives, hopefully just in time for this Christmas!
Jo Malone Advent Calendar
This calendar is perfect for the high-end woman who loves a bit of luxury! It has everything you would expect from Jo Malone, including soap, candles, and colognes. 24 beautifully-crafted doors open to reveal miniatures of all the signature products, guaranteed to brighten up any woman’s day in December!
If you are a Jo Malone fan, you won’t be disappointed, and you and your home will smell amazing. Everything is deliciously scented, as you would expect, from the Sweet Almond & Macaroon Candle and Velvet Rose & Oud Shower Oil to the Nectarine Blossom & Honey Cologne – definitely a winner.
The only thing I am disappointed by, is that the contents are not cruelty-free. When Jo started her company many moons ago and was making her fragrances in her own apartment in Chelsea, all her products were natural and cruelty-free. It’s such a shame that when a big corporate company takes over, some of the good stuff is left behind. Her new company Jo Loves is cruelty-free.
Hotel Chocolat 100 % Vegan Advent Calendar
Who doesn’t love Hotel Chocolat! One of my favourite chocolate brands, this year, Hotel Chocolat have introduced a totally vegan 70% dark chocolate advent calendar! It contains 24 Christmas-shaped characters, including snowmen and penguins, all made from delicious, solid caramel chocolate. If you like your chocolate dark, smooth and velvety, then this is the calendar for you! What’s more, each window opens up to reveal a silver and white snow scene with a ‘chocolate’ joke on each one. A very affordable, upmarket option that will go down a treat!

Make Your Own Christmas Countdown Advent Calendar
I’ve seen a lot of these fill-your-own advent calendars in Europe, so it’s great to see that they’ve crossed the Channel!
If you know exactly what your child or girlfriend likes, why not ‘make your own’ Advent Calendar – and fill it with their favourite goodies! A personalised gift is always the best and you can ensure that everything you put in is something that they will love and use. Fun (and easy) to make, it can be reused year-after-year. And, if you don’t want your child to have too much sugar first thing on Christmas morning, you can pop in some delicious, healthy treats instead of choccies, along with handwritten notes.
Or if you’re gifting it to a friend, why not fill it with motivational messages and mini-beauty samples that you have gathered throughout the year. Personally, I really love homemade presents. As my Grandma used to say, they are a labour of love! The perfect option for a budget-friendly Christmas, I’ve made one for my daughter this year. Shhhhhhh!
Finally be sure to check out my Zero Waste Christmas Gift Guide this year!
