No gym? No problem as today I’m sharing my Beachbody on Demand Review! If you live in the UK, Canada, or the US, Beachbody on Demand could be the perfect get-yourself-in-shape-for-summer online programme. With over 40 different programmes to choose from and over 1,000 workouts available, there’s literally something for everyone.
Each workout programme also includes nutritional advice and customisable meal plans with additional materials such as portion control containers, shopping lists, and menu planners available too. Many of the workouts need little or no equipment which means that they are ideal if you don’t have much storage space at home. Sounds good? It is!
An affordable annual subscription (cheaper than a gym membership!) Beachbody on Demand costs £99 a year (equivalent to a gym membership of £8.25 per month!) so it’s really affordable. You also get a free 14-day trial to see if it’s a good fit for you. Easy to use, you can stream workouts through the Beachbody on Demand app or website, and classes are progressive so you can build up the intensity which I think is genius!
With some on-demand programmes, it’s all too easy to pick classes at random, then not to achieve results because you’re not sticking to any particular routine. But this is not the case with Beachbody on Demand. Every programme is accompanied by a 3 or 4-week plan which gives you workouts for each day, meal plans, and healthy recipe ideas too.
A variety of workouts so you’ll never get bored!
With a different workout for each day (normally 4 or 5 days a week so there’s no risk of getting bored!), you definitely feel that you’re working towards a goal rather than doing random workouts every day. Another bonus is that the 40-minute workouts can be easily fitted into your day.
I also love the wide variety of workouts available, with popular programmes like Insanity, 21 Day Fix, Barre, PiYo to the newest launch – MBF (Muscle Burns Fat). You also get a calendar with plenty of room to track your workouts, along with a nutrition guide, and recommended Spotify playlists to keep you motivated and moving!
Total body workouts for the best results
Beachbody workouts usually combine cardiovascular and strength training with flexibility exercises. Most of the fitness programmes include a healthy eating plan designed by a celebrity trainer and in-house nutrition experts. The majority of the workouts are also led by highly-respected trainers with years of experience in exercise and motivation. And while many are quite challenging, the company recommends the “21 Day Fix” for beginners or for anyone who is currently out of shape or overweight.

Optional extras to make more of your Beachbody programme
Beachbody also offers plenty of add-ons for those who want to enhance their results. These include Shakeology, a meal replacement drink packed with 16–17 g of high-quality protein per serving, digestive enzymes, prebiotics, probiotics, adaptogenic herbs and botanicals, fibre, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals; nutrition supplements, and handy portion control containers.
Equipment you might need
Most of the Beachbody workouts are designed for you to do at home, so most require little to no equipment. Free weights feature in some of the programmes (easy to buy and to store if you need these for your workout). Some workouts also require a chin-up bar, resistance bands, slides, or a step. You can purchase these from the Beachbody site (or from Amazon or Ebay if you’re on a tight budget.) But in general, you really don’t need much equipment at all. Bonus!
Beachbody on Demand Review
There are several options for Beachbody On Demand. You can buy the workouts for 3 months at £39; 6 months for £59 or a year for £99. If you want to invest in the Challenge Pack, a highly-recommended weight loss option which includes a supply of Shakeology (meal replacement), this programme costs £160. Much less expensive than a personal trainer!
Is Beachbody on Demand worth it?
If you are serious about achieving results, then there’s no doubt that this is the platform for you. I’ve tried so many online workouts and some are very good, but Beachbody’s are in a league of their own. The programmes keep you on track and the Facebook groups keep you accountable – and motivated! You are also encouraged to take ‘before and after’ photographs of yourself so you can chart your progress and are invited to upload them to the site if you’re brave enough. It can be a bit of a shock when you see first see yourself, but it’s a great motivator to get you started! And it’s amazing to see yourself making progress!
