How to Take CBD Oil
As we all react differently to any substance, whether it’s a food, a supplement, or a medication, it’s best to be cautious if you are going to take CBD Oil for the first time. Some of us are naturally more sensitive than others, so it’s best to start with a small dose and build up slowly. CBD Oil is also available in different concentrations and it’s recommended that you start with a lower percentage first. If that doesn’t work, you could move up to a higher dose to see if you notice any benefits. As yet, there are no set guidelines for CBD dosage, so it’s very much a matter of ‘try it and see’.
A good rule of thumb is to start with 20mg a day and if you don’t get the desired result, either double the dose or go up in strength. There are so many factors to take into consideration including your body weight and the severity of the condition you are trying to treat. Technically, you can’t overdose on CBD Oil as it is non-toxic and there appear to be no negative side effects even when CBD is taken in higher doses.
Choice CBD 5% Oil
A fairly low potency oil, this is a good starting point for most people. This strength is good for boosting general health and wellbeing, easing mild pain, and lowering stress levels. You do need to take your body weight into consideration too. Another bonus is that the oil is available in 3 flavours which is genius as CBD tends to taste bitter. The natural, mint, and orange flavours really do help to neutralise this and make it more palatable!
For best results, take your CBD 2 to 3 times a day by dropping it directly under your tongue after each meal.

Does it Work? And How Quickly Does It Work?
In the past, I have taken 3% to 5% CBD oil and noticed a reduction in anxiety pretty quickly. However, this is the first time I’ve ever tried a 10% oil and I have really noticed a lot of changes within a few weeks. I am quite tall 5ft 7 and around 67kg, so I think the lower percentage that I’ve been taking was too low!
I have had moderate joint pain and inflammation (partly overstretching and partly overtraining) and the difference is quite incredible. When my friend saw me 6 weeks ago, I felt very stiff and was having trouble with my flexibility and mobility. I’ve been absolutely amazed at the improvement in my flexibility since taking Choice CBD oil. Especially when I do yoga, I’m back doing stretches that I thought were no longer possible!

For me, CBD Choice Relax Oil is the standout product in the Choice CBD range. Relax Oil is a blend of 10% CBD and terpenes. The terpenes – Myrcene and Pinene – are naturally derived from mangoes and pine, both of which are well-documented for their beneficial effects. Myrcene, one of the main compounds found in cannabis, is known to promote calm and to help manage particularly stressful situations. Unique to this brand, I really haven’t come across anything like Relax Oil before.

How to Take CBD Oil
I’ve found the best way to take CBD oil is directly under the tongue. This allows the CBD to reach the bloodstream quicker. Tinctures are also great for people who have trouble swallowing tablets. And as it works quickly, it’s great for anyone in pain.
I also like to add some CBD to my morning coffee – and it certainly gives me some extra Va Va Voom! I find coffee does dehydrate me normally, so I love the fact that this coffee is better for me. The coconut oil moisturises my lips as I drink it! Another plus point is that adding fat (coconut oil in this case) to coffee apparently reduces the dehydrating effect of caffeine, and makes you less grumpy in the mornings. Hurrah to that!

My version of a bullet proof coffee!
- 1 jug Filter Coffee
- 1 tbsp Collagen Powder
- 1 tbsp coconut oil melted
- 1 teasp xliytol
- 5 drops Natural CBD oil
- 2 tbsp organic coconut cream
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend for a couple of minutes.
Serve and Enjoy!
