Welcome to Natalie Loves, my regular round-up of favourite finds, best buys, and tried-and-tested must-haves. Enjoy some of my skincare favourites!
The PMD Sonic Smart Cleansing Brush
The PMD Sonic Smart Cleansing Brush really does do it all – a beauty gadget that really works! Made from ultra-hygienic silicone, the PMD is odor-resistant, antibacterial, hypoallergenic – and the best bit – waterproof! Vibrating at a rate of 7000 vibrations per minute, the brush helps to remove make-up, dirt, and excess oil while firming and toning the skin at the same time. I apply cleanser and use the brush to cleanse my skin first, then apply face oil, turn the device over, and use the active warm facial massage side of the device to massage the oil in. My skin literally glows in an instant and looks so nourished too. The whole process takes under 5 minutes and it’s so easy to use. It’s fully waterproof so you can use it in the shower, or wash it under the tap afterwards. Which is why this device is one of my skincare favourites.
I don’t normally use facial mists, but I’m such a huge fan of make-up artist and facialist, Frances Prescott’s first skincare product, Tri-Balm, that I jumped at the chance to try Tri-Spritz, her latest ‘baby’. Like Tri-Balm, Tri-Spritz is a multitasking 3-in-1 product. Designed to protect skin from pollution and to boost cellular repair, it also helps to set make-up. Infused with moisturising ingredients like coconut water, rosewater and orange flower water, as well as protective ingredients such as chuffa milk and algae, which create an effective environmental barrier. This spritz really does keep my skin hydrated throughout the day – and helps make-up stay ‘fresh’. I find it really calms my skin – perfect, I have to admit if you have a hot flush!
Rodin Olio Lusso Face Oil
There aren’t many products I would spend this amount of money on, but Rodin’s Olio Lusso Face Oil really is exceptional in every way. My favourite blend – Geranium & Orange Blossom – smells absolutely incredible and a few drops applied to damp skin is enough to make my skin really ‘glow’. It’s also incredibly versatile. I add a few drops to my daily moisturiser to give my skin a boost, mix it with my foundation to create a lighter, more dewy finish, and as an emergency hair de-frizzer if my hair is badly behaved! I literally only need 4-6 drops at a go to see a real difference.
Skin Care Favourites
Emma Hardie Moringa Renewal Mask
I’m a big fan of Emma Hardie products and this mask is no exception. Rich in hyaluronic acid, a well-known ingredient for alleviating dry skin and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, it’s super-hydrating. It’s also great for brightening skin, reducing pigmentation, and evening out your complexion. I apply the mask to cleansed skin avoiding my immediate eye area, then leave it on while I’m getting dressed in the morning or while I’m watching TV in the evening.
Egyptian Magic is the one product that does it all! This all-natural skin cream is a moisturiser, cleanser, eye cream, makeup primer, hair conditioner, hydrating face mask, lip balm, shaving balm, and a natural first aid kit healing burns, eczema, psoriasis, and scars. A well-kept beauty secret that has been endorsed by celebrities, make-up artists, and beauty bloggers at home and abroad, the secret of its success lies in the unique formula of nature’s most moisturising and healing ingredients. Which is my Egyptian Magic made it onto my skincare favourites! Read my full review here.
