I love using natural cruelty free products, and I will always choose these brands when I’m selecting hair, beauty or self care items. Although I will always choose natural where I can, I don’t want to compromise on effectiveness! So I’ve been using a normal deodorant, as until recently I could’t find a natural deodorant that worked!
Being a hairdresser, I work by standing and leaning over my customers. I want to feel confident that I smell fresh and feel dry for the whole day, and the deodorants that I use must work as I need them to. In the past, I have tried many natural deodorants but with little success, so I always ending up turning back to the more effective, but not natural or organic brands.
However, being in my self care journey means that I want to do the very best by my body – and who would’t rather reduce the risk of rolling carcinogens so close to our lymph glands? So, I kept looking for more natural deodorants.
Tropic are a brand I have been interested in recently, so I decided to give their Feel Fresh deodorant a try.
Tropic is the brainchild of Susie Ma . Susie grew up experimenting with skincare products. At the tender age of 15, she was selling her produce at Greenwich Market. She went on to star in The Apprentice in 2011 and, although she didn’t win, Alan Sugar invested in her idea, and became a 50/50 partner.
Tropic skincare contain naturally derived ingredients, and are free from toxic chemicals. They have not been tested on animals, and don’t contain any animal derivatives such as beeswax or honey, and are Vegan approved.
This deodorant is also an antiperspirant and what is so unusual for me, it’s in a cream form. It contains antibacterial citrus essential oils, soothing oat oil, and detoxifying bentonite clays. It smells so good!
The cream feels very gentle under your arms when you apply it, and it spreads easily and dries fairly quickly. I get no white residue on my clothes either which I love. I have worked hard all day in a hot salon, and trained hard at the gym, with no sign of moisture or smell – yay!
So I am really happy to report that this product works very effectively, and I am a total convert! I find it lasts well too, well over a couple of months for 1 tube. It is more expensive that normal deodorant, but because it lasts well, it works out fairly cost effective.
This is the very first natural deodorant I have ever been confident using, and definitely the first natural deodorant I’ve found that works!
If you would like to treat yourself to a Tropic Feel Fresh deodorant, it retails at £10 and you can purchase one here
I am now trying the Sun drops which are gradual tanning drops that you add to your moisturiser so I will keep you all posted on this.
